THE ESSENTIALS OF OSHO

Osho, also known as Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, was a spiritual teacher and mystic who gained international prominence in the 1970s and 1980s. His teachings encompassed a wide range of topics, from meditation and mindfulness to love and awareness.

A FEW POINTS:-

1. MEDITATION & MINDFULNESS

Central to Osho’s teachings was the practice of meditation. He emphasized that meditation is not just a technique, but a state of awareness and a way of life. According to Osho, meditation allows individuals to experience inner peace, silence, and transcendence beyond the mind.

2. AWARENESS & CONSCIOUSNESS

Osho spoke extensively about the importance of awareness and consciousness. He taught that becoming more conscious and aware in our daily lives enables us to live more fully and authentically. Through awareness, we can observe our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors without judgment.

3. LOVE & RELATIONSHIPS

Osho’s approach to love and relationships was radical and profound. He emphasized the importance of self-love and acceptance as the foundation for healthy relationships with others. According to Osho, true love arises when individuals are able to give without expecting anything in return.

4. INDIVIDUALITY & FREEDOM

Osho was a strong advocate for freedom and individuality. He encouraged people to break free from societal conditioning, norms, and expectations in order to discover their true selves. Osho believed that true freedom comes from within, and that individuals should live authentically and without fear.

5. PLAYFUL APPROACH & CREATIVITY

Osho encouraged a playful and creative approach to life. He believed that creativity is a fundamental aspect of human nature, and that expressing creativity brings joy and fulfillment. Osho taught that life should be lived with a sense of lightness and playfulness.

6. ENLIGHTENMENT & SPIRITUALITY

Osho’s teachings often revolved around the concept of spirituality and enlightenment. He believed that enlightenment is not something that can be achieved through effort or striving, but rather a state of being that arises naturally when one is in touch with their innermost self.

In short, Osho’s teachings encompassed a wide range of topics, from meditation and mindfulness to love and freedom. He encouraged individuals to live authentically, with awareness and consciousness, and to embrace creativity and playfulness in their lives. Osho’s profound insights continue to inspire people around the world to this day.

But, in order to approach OSHO one should have a basic intelligence, else his teachings may be more misunderstood than otherwise.

In my next blog I shall be talking about how I came in contact with his books and what his teachings did to me.

Happy reading !
