BOB DYLAN TURNS 72 TODAY.HE HAS DOMINATED THE WORLD OF MUSIC FOR OVER FIVE DECADES AND CHANCES ARE YOU MIGHT CATCH HIM ONSTAGE ON ALMOST ANYDAY SOMEWHERE IN THE STATES !

Dylan and Fatigue are strange bedfellows,so to say !
His energy level is simply astounding and this could be verified by the sheer numbers of shows Dylan performs year round and that’s been the case for countless years!

DYLAN’S MUSIC TOURS RIGHTLY NICKNAMED , ‘NEVER-ENDING TOURS’ !

The Most Defining Characteristic Of BOB DYLAN Is His Mastery Over LYRICS !
His Songwriting Is Just Poetry Composing!
Take the text of a song and you will quickly learn you are reading a poem !

Bookies Have, For Nearly A Decade, Been Putting Money On Dylan’s Chances of A Nobel In Literature !

Dylan Considers Himself First As A Poet and Not A Musician!
And, Just Imagine If A Poet Gives Music To His/Her Poems. . . .THE RESULT SHALL CERTAINLY BE DIVINE !

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

To Celebrate Dylan’s 72nd Birthday, Let’s Enjoy Ten Of His Quotes :-

(1.) ”There is nothing so stable as change.”

(2.) ”Take care of all your memories. For you cannot relive them.”

(3.) ”Swallow your pride, you will not die, it’s not poison !”

(4.) ”A hero is someone who understands the responsibility that comes with his freedom.”

(5.) ”If you try to be anyone but yourself, you will fail; if you are not true to your own heart, you will fail. Then again, there’s no success like failure !”

(6.) ”You can never be wise and be in love at the same time !”

(7.) ”No one is free, even the birds are chained to the sky !”

(8.) ”People seldom do what they believe in. They do what is convenient, then repent.”

(9.) ”Life is more or less a lie, but then again, that’s exactly the way we want it to be !”

(10.) ”The future for me is already a thing of the past /-
You were my first love and you will be my last !/”

BICENTENARY OF RICHARD WAGNER,THE LEGENDARY COMPOSER! #Wagner200.

#wagner200 !
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
(1.) ”I write music with an exclamation point !”

(2.) ”Joy is not in things; it is in us.”

(3.) ”I am convinced that there are universal currents of Divine Thought vibrating the earth everywhere and that any who can feel these vibrations is inspired.”

(4.) ”I believe in God, Mozart and Beethoven.”

(5.) ”The oldest, truest, most beautiful
organ of music, the origin to
which alone our music owes its
being, is the human voice.”

Richard Wagner.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

T.S.ELIOT was one of the most vocal fans of Wagner’s Music.

MARK TWAIN ,in his inimitable wit, quipped that he had liked Wagner’s Music because it sounded better than it actually was!

OSCAR WILDE, in his notoriously witty way, said that he had a great liking of Wagner’s because of its sheer loudness that allowed one to chat while the music went on and never be caught by any of what one was doing !

Many Voices And Many Responses !
Neitzsche was the bitterest critic of Wagner’s Operas !

What still important is that Richard Wagner’s despite being full of craziness of sorts, has no match even 200yrs after his birth and 130yrs after his death!

Richard Wagner Was Truly A Genius And Artist Of The Highest Order ! He fused many art forms unto his music : poetry, story, romance, myth n legends, folk themes, politics, drama. . . . .et.al and the resultant product was THE SIGNATURE WAGNER !

Born on May 22, 1813 in Leipzig,Germany ,Wagner remained least interested in usual academics and had been removed from schools a couple of times, yet his inclinations towards music had started to form a shape and he would come up with his first composition at 16 !

His earlier learnings in music took place in Dresden–the city that he kept coming from time to time all through his life of 69yrs. !

Highly influenced by MOZART and BEETHOVEN, Wagner had displayed a great deal of perseverance and developed his own brand of EPIC OPERAS –a rather long piece of operas that were and still are quite demanding to the performers as well as the audiences!
His lengthiest Opera,a work in four parts, called THE RING CYCLE was of 16hrs. At a stretch !!

Wagner’s era was the hightime of German Romanticism and that had bearings upon his some of the most popular pieces like TRESTINE & ISOLDE !

‘TANNHAUSER’ , ‘THE RIDE OF VALKYRIES’ , ‘SIEGFRIED’ are two of his often conducted works globally!

A man whose personal life was no less sensational, Wagner had in him all the romantic spirits ranging from numerous affairs, marriages to revolutionary zeal , political exile. . .n so on !He took active part in the 1848 revolution and had displayed a rather extreme political view that led him to a couple of years’ exile during which he visited Russia, Ukrain, Italy n France!

But, RICHARD WAGNER HAD A DEEP SEATED HATRED FOR THE JEWS AND THAT ONE TRAIT OF ‘ANTI-SEMITISM’ HAD MADE HIM A PERENNIAL TARGET OF CRITICISM AND AN IDEAL FOR HITLER AND HIS IDEOLOGY OF NAZISM!HITLER USED TO PLAY WAGNER’S REGULARLY AT THE THIRD REICH !

Israel doesn’t allow Wagner’s music !

Today there are many musical extravagenza going on around the globe pouring tribute to Wagner on what would be his bicentenary!

PLAY A SCORE OR TWO EASILY AVAILABLE ON YOU TUBE AND GETY OURSELF DRUNK IN WAGNER’S MUSIC !

HAPPY BIRTHDAY,WAGNER !

GEORGE JONES, LEGENDARY COUNTRY MUSIC STAR, DIED !

Rest In Peace, George Jones!
The Legendary Country Music
Star, George Jones, Died On
Friday At Vanderbilt University
Hospital.He was 81 and had
been suffering from recurring
fever,blood pressure and
respiratory problems.
It’s quite surprising that George
Jones Was On His Farewell Tour
That Began Last Year And Was
To Close At Nashville In This
November Where He Was To Be
Accompanied By Many Music
Stars In His Honor!
Alas! That was not to be in the
scheme of Almighty And The
Crooner Was Called To Heaven
To Perform His Hits In His
Signature Baritone!
Born on August 12, 1931 in
Saratoga town of Eastern Texas,
he had started his music
devotion by playing in the dusty
streets of his town and before
church of his area.
He shifted to Nashville,Tennesse
which was considered as the
Mecca of Country Music.
George Jones’ Music Career
Spanned Over Almost Six
Decades,starting in fifties .
In such a longtime George
Jones saw many upheavals in
his personal as well as
professional life.
He married four times,the last
one in 1983 with Nancy who
helped him redeem himself
after a prolong battle with
Alcohol n Cocain Addictions —
things that dominated his life
since late 60s to early 80s and
earned him a bad press plus an
unwelcome nickname,NO SHOW
JONES for he had notoriously
been missing his performances
due to addictions!
Jones’ second wife was Tammy
Wynette who herself was the
most sought after female
country singer of her times,and
with whom Jones had had
many duets some of them
superhits.
George Jones and Wynette got
divorced just 6yrs after their
marriage,yet they remained
friends and continued singing
together.
Jones produced a whopping
168 records and had many
songs making the top 40 lists
on billboards.
George Jones’ Hits Are:-
‘IF DRINKIN DOES NOT KILL ME
(HER MEMORY WILL)’ , ‘SHE
THINKS I STILL I CARE’ , ‘WE’LL
HOLD ON’ , ‘HE STOPPED LOVING
HER TODAY’ . . . .et.al are some of
the treasures of country music!
His greatest number, He
Stopped Loving Her Today,
happened when he was going
through the most troubled
times as he had to check in a
rehab ,but unable to stay
beyond a month and he was
almost down. . .but,he was
never out !
Music in general and country
music in particular has lost one
legend whose shoes nobody
ever has filled in and never will
any be!
The void created by Jones’
demise will be haunting
forever!
Certainly Today For Millions of
Music Lovers : ‘Things Have
Gone To Pieces’ And It’s Very
Hard To Say : ‘We’ll Hold On’ !
May Almighty Bless His Soul!
