A MAN GOES TO A CITY! (Poem).

In Pocket-
A few cents /
In Head-
Puzzles a lot /
In Heart-
Desires Countless/
In Eyes-
Dreams Galore/
A Man Is A Poor Chap!/

Fails To Effect A Balance When/
He reaches At The Gate/
Of A Supermarket! /

The Big Sprawling Malls/
The Sky-Touching Buildings/
The Widenning Streets/
The Intoxicating Retreats/
The Sounds That Blur/
All The Differences/
Between:-/
Music And Noise/
Between-/
The Horns And A Baby’s Cry !/

In This Other Land/
At The Gate Of A Supermarket- /
A Man Stands With His Shivering Feet/
In Panic
And
Amid
The All Pervasive/
Paranoia/
He Looks Through Glasses/
All Things Inside! /

Transfixed !

The Wind That Blows Through The City/
Is A Strange Wind : /
Chocking And Shocking ! /

Those Who Have Gone To The City /
Either Prosper Or Perish! /
Goes An Old Saying !/

But. . .!/
He Can’t Be A Customer/
There -/
At The Supermarket !/

City That Never Sleeps/
Caters To A Selected Few/
The Majority Still A Victim/
In This Global World!/

What Is Life? /
Think Of It, And,
Be Sad !.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
